I’ve been coming to Pouletburg for over 15 years, and it never disappoints! Every time I pass through this area, it’s my go-to spot. The chicken is consistently amazing—rich in flavor, perfectly cooked, and honestly, the BEST I’ve had anywhere in the world. The staff are always friendly and genuinely caring, which adds to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. During peak times like summer and Christmas holidays, it gets very busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. Otherwise, you might wait up to 30 minutes—but it’s absolutely worth it. With so many glowing reviews, I can only agree: this place is a must-visit. If you’re nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won’t regret it!

I come here from time to time. Last Saturday when I was here it was really good. Compared to the last few times it wasn't really special. The chicken was always a bit too dry. The sauce tastes same same as always. I always order the spicy sauce with an extra portion of sauce. This time again, but the employee somehow forgot that we ordered extra sauce. I told her and she just brought it immediately. I guess she was new on the job. The food came very fast and we managed to get a table without reservation. We had 2 Poulet im Körbli with French Fries and 2 extra portions of sauces and 2 drinks which cost me 70.- with tips. I don't understand how the food is sometimes good and sometimes bad. Shouldn't a location like this always be the same?

Poulet im Chörbli is a Swiss preparation of half a chicken, roasted, served in a small basket with a rich, buttery sauce. The name means “chicken in a little basket” in Swiss German. Swiss use the French loanword poulet for chicken instead of the Standard German Hähnchen.
